Hi — I'm Gokul. CricCuts is an independent, one-person project: I build and maintain it in late-night coding spells, then try to make it to the early-morning match. It's an intelligent cricket video editor that cuts your highlights automatically, right on your phone.
CricCuts started as a simple wish: I wanted my own net highlights without spending an evening scrubbing through footage. There was no team, no funding and no cloud budget — just a belief that a phone is now powerful enough to do this itself, without uploading anyone's video anywhere. Hundreds of late nights later, here it is.
What it took
Building a polished, on-device app as one person is equal parts engineering, obsession and caffeine. A rough idea of the inputs:
The technology under the hood is genuinely cutting-edge — small AI models running entirely on your device, no cloud involved. If you're curious how a phone can watch cricket and cut the highlights itself, I wrote it all up in plain English on the blog — start with how CricCuts works and why the future of AI is small models on the edge.
Late-night coding spells, early-morning matches. CricCuts is what falls out in between — free for early users while it finds its feet.
☕ Buy me a coffee
A coffee unlocks nothing — there's no premium tier to buy here. It just helps cover the running costs and keeps new features coming while CricCuts is free for early users, and it genuinely makes my week. Totally optional, and thank you for even reading this far.
Payment links are being set up — check back soon, or just enjoy the app. 💚
Want a thank-you on the wall? (optional)
If you've bought a coffee and you'd like to be recognised, leave your name below and tell me how you'd like to appear. Your choice is recorded so I can credit supporters correctly — and you can stay anonymous.
