Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: 17 June 2026
This page explains how to delete your CricCuts account (app package com.criccuts, developed by Gokul Sundar) and the personal data associated with it — what's deleted, what may be retained, and how long it takes.
1. Delete from inside the app
The quickest way:
- Open CricCuts → Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Confirm. This records your deletion request and signs you out; we review and delete your account and the data we hold for it within 30 days.
If your installed build doesn't yet show this option, use the form or email request below — it has the same effect.
2. Request deletion here
Submit a request and we'll record it for review. Use the email address associated with your CricCuts account so we can find and verify it.
3. Or request by email
Prefer email? Write to gkl.sundar@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my CricCuts account".
So we can verify and locate your data, please include the email or sign-in you use with CricCuts. We may ask one or two questions to confirm it's really you before we delete anything.
4. What gets deleted
- Your CricCuts account and authentication record (your Firebase user ID).
- Any early-access / questionnaire data you submitted — name, email, phone, profile link, and cricketing details — stored in our systems.
- Analytics and crash-report identifiers associated with your account.
5. Your videos and reels (on your device)
CricCuts processes footage on your phone. Your imported videos, generated clips, sessions, and exported reels are stored only in the app's storage on your device — we never receive them. To remove them:
- Delete the items inside the app, and/or
- Clear the app's storage (Android Settings → Apps → CricCuts → Storage → Clear storage), and/or
- Uninstall the app.
Note: any reel you've already exported to your gallery, or shared to another platform, is managed by you / that platform and isn't affected by deleting your account.
6. What we may retain
After deletion we may keep a minimal amount of information where we're required or permitted to by law — for example, records needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud and abuse — and aggregated, non-identifying statistics that can no longer be linked to you. We keep this only as long as necessary and then delete it.
7. How long it takes
However you request it — in the app, via the form, or by email — your request is recorded and we review and action it within 30 days of verifying it. Backups and third-party provider systems (such as Google Firebase) may take additional time to purge residual copies in the ordinary course.
